The workshop

There are two ways to build software. We chose the workshop.

Atelicode builds custom software from Marseille. One craftsman, few projects at a time, and the tool is yours at the end.

Atelicode wasn't born in an agency. It was born inside a distribution company drowning in manual work. Twelve months spent in there, watching orders arrive by chat app, printed catalogues go stale with the wrong prices and mornings vanish into a spreadsheet. Nobody handed us a brief. We lived the problem.

That's where a conviction comes from, and it hasn't moved since: off-the-shelf tools cover 80 % of a business, and the 20 % left over is exactly what makes the trade. No setting covers that, and whatever the software does not do, someone in the company ends up doing by hand.

So we refuse one idea: that it is up to you to fit inside the software's box. Your trade is not an edge case to work around, and it deserves software written for it.

Behind the workshop

I'm Roméo.

Roméo Ivaldy

Founder & developer

I've been designing and coding software and online shops for over five years. I started Atelicode to work differently: fewer projects, more care, and a real connection with the people I build for.

If we work together, I'm the one you'll be talking to.

What we hold to
  • We start where off-the-shelf tools stop

If Shopify or WordPress is enough for your business, we say so on the first call and we don't take the project. That sentence is what makes everything else credible.

  • The tool belongs to you

Fixed price and delivery date written down before anything starts, paid in three instalments, and you run it without a developer. We don't make a living off our clients' dependency.

  • Few projects, done properly

We'd rather turn work down than rush it. And you talk to the person writing the code, not to a salesperson who may pass the message on.

The proof

What's already running.

Three projects delivered, each with the number that goes with it. The rest is on the case studies page, with what we built and what it changed.

Let's talk about your project.

You tell us how you work today, we tell you whether we can help. And if an off-the-shelf tool is enough, we'll say that too.
